Designer Incubator
The EMAGE Center, in collaboration with the Mid-Atlantic Fashion Council (MAFCO), is proud to announce the launch of its Designer Incubator Program, a transformative initiative dedicated to fostering emerging talent in the fashion industry. This program will serve as a business development hub for designers aiming to grow and sustain their brands while contributing to the creative and economic vitality of our region.
The Process
Selected Designers for the 2025 Cohort:
Located in the heart of Baltimore, Maryland, the EMAGE Designer Incubator Program offers a dynamic, professional environment to nurture promising fashion talent. By providing affordable studio space, comprehensive business mentoring, educational workshops, and strategic networking opportunities, the program empowers designers to realize their full potential and become integral players in the fashion community.
About the Program: The EMAGE Designer Incubator accommodates 8 designer brands. In addition, participants have access to shared facilities, including a large collaborative work studio, a conference room, and a fully equipped kitchen. The incubator ensures that designers can focus on their craft in a supportive and resource-rich environment
Over the 24 week term, the EMAGE and MAFCO teams will work closely with each designer on key areas of business development, including:
- Production and supply chain management
- Brand development and marketing
- Financial planning and legal compliance
- E-commerce strategy and retail partnerships
The program also features a tailored mentorship initiative, pairing designers with accomplished industry professionals who will provide one-on-one guidance. Designers will engage in group seminars, international travel opportunities, and exclusive networking events, all designed to support their professional growth.
